The Summer League is an opportunity for NBA teams to evaluate their young players and recent draft picks, as well as for undrafted players and players looking to make an NBA roster to showcase their skills to coaches, scouts, and executives. The format of the league and the schedule of the games are subject to change, but most commonly it starts with a tournament-style format, where teams play several games in a preliminary round to qualify for a single-elimination tournament that concludes the Summer League.
